TECTERRA announces a temporary hold on funding programs. Due to a high volume of applications for support, TECTERRA has exceeded the maximum number of projects they can support at this time.
Since TECTERRA’s inception in 2009, the non-profit organization has directly supported 287 startups and SMEs, who have collectively generated more than $167M in revenues from supported projects – an overall economic impact of $369M. The success of these emerging technology companies has had a positive impact on Alberta’s traditional economic sectors while providing important diversification for the economy.
During this time, committed funding projects remain intact. “Our promises remain promises and we are here to support growth in the geospatial industry, despite not being able to take on any new projects at this time”, says Jonathan Neufeld. At this time, new applications for funding through TECTERRA’s programs will not be accepted.
TECTERRA invites interested companies to sign up for notifications regarding program changes, reopening dates, and other funding related information.
